First Award for DC 37 Retirees Website

The DC 37 Retirees Website won a First Award for General Excellence from the Metro New York Labor Communications Council in 2021. The website at dc37retireesassociation.org launched in spring 2020, a month before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, and has since become a vital point of contact and source of information for DC 37 Retirees.

PEP and website win Metro labor awards

DC 37 Communications Dept. staff that produces the union's newspaper and website took five top prizes for creative work during 2018 from the Metro NY Labor Communications Council. The union website (www.dc37.net), produced by Assistant Director Molly Charboneau, Managing Editor Mike Lee, and Editor-in-Chief Chris Policano, took first place for general excellence.

Metro winners

Public Employee Press won top awards in the 2018 Metro NY Labor Communications Council Journalism Awards contest and garnered a dozen wins that recognize the team’s excellence in the categories of writing, design, photography, social media, website and video production. Molly Charboneau won for best website (www.dc37.net) and was honored by Metro for 30-plus years of labor activism.

Metro NY Journalism Contest: DC 37 wins nine awards

A First Award for General Excellence in its class went to DC 37's website www.dc37.net, edited by Assistant Director Molly Charboneau. Judges praised its lively content, ease of navigation and the breadth of news and resources it provides for members. Charboneau also won a Third Award for best e-newsletter for "Housing Fair July 30 and union news."

Website takes gold in Hermes competition

The union’s Web site, produced by the public relations staff of the Communication Dept., won a Gold Award in the Hermes Creative Awards 2007 International Competition.
